Ivana Zajkovska is a youth development professional who inspired by her family of educators and driven by her love of learning and for being a catalyst to thriving, attained a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master of Arts in Positive Youth Development. Ivana is a dreamer and an innovator who envisions and works toward building a world where youth are supported and empowered to become caring, responsible, and productive members of society.

Are you interested in becoming a Mentor?
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a mentor you will be our partner, inspire, and support the mentee’s capacity for positive growth. You will help support your assigned mentees through ongoing group and one-on-one sessions. Build relationships and serve as a positive role model for all students. You will need a plan and participate in activities to help mentees understand their role in life. Show mentees how to establish goals and teach them about the stepping stones to build their strengths, self esteem and motivation. Lastly, you will act as a youth ambassador helping to advance youth agencies.

Eligibility
REQUIRED
- Must be between 21 and 40 years old
- Must be willing to undergo background check as part of the application process
- Be interested in working with young people and helping underserved populations
PREFERRED
- Bilingual preferred; functional knowledge of English and Pashto/Farsi
- 1st and 2nd generation refugee/immigrant
- Background in counseling, education, social work, psychology or related fields
